Because of your generosity, families who evacuated were able to replace spoiled groceries, cover fuel costs, and regain stability. One family displaced by the fire restocked two weeks of food, a low-income resident covered hotel and meal expenses, and a property owner addressing fire damage received support for both groceries and recovery supplies. Beyond fire response, aid also reached neighbors facing eviction, flood damage, and unstable housing across the valley.
A special thank you to the 397 volunteers who signed up to help. Volunteer offers were shared with the Red Cross, County Government offices, Lift-Up, Incident Command in Rio Blanco and Routt Counties, the Community Budget Center, and Love INC, ensuring help reached the right places at the right time.
We’re especially grateful to seven dedicated volunteers who worked with us in the office and our 3 volunteers who completed a supply mission to Meeker and Rangely—you ALL went above and beyond to keep our community strong.
Together, we are building a more resilient Yampa Valley.
