Liebe TCGIS Familien!
We write to you today to make you aware of a great opportunity to advocate for our TCGIS community. Join a group during the workday on March 7 to show support for charter school funding.
You likely know already that students at TCGIS are funded at over $3700.00 less per pupil than students who attend traditional district public schools. Only our state lawmakers can change this and they need to hear from us!
MN Association of Charter Schools will be organizing small group visits to individual legislators for all participants and it's up to us to provide the people. We need all levels of involvement, whether you are there to speak to legislators and share our TCGIS success stories or simply to show your support by being there. Parent presence is key in making our school a visible, memorable part of an important day.
The time commitment would be for up to a couple hours during the day, but we do not know specific times yet. It will be possible to see lawmakers from across the Twin Cities.
