Botanic Gardens Conservation International Accreditation Workshop
BGANZ NSW invites all BGANZ members to join them in an online workshop about BGCI's Accreditation Scheme.
This scheme is designed to place high value in activities that botanic gardens do uniquely well, including documenting, understanding, growing and conserving plant diversity across the taxonomic array.
BGCI and BGANZ invite all botanic gardens and institutions wishing to establish their credentials, locally and globally, as botanic gardens.
The Accreditation Scheme empowers institutions to do more for plant conservation so that we can better achieve our collective missions.
The workshop, presented by Patricia Malcolm, BGCI's Membership and Conservation Services Manager, includes:
- The BGCI Accreditation Scheme
- Fee structure
- Mentoring and guidance opportunities for members
- Hear from other Australian BGANZ members who have achieved BGCI accreditation
- Opportunities for Q&A.
Please have a look at the BGCI Accreditation Standards Manual before attending and bring any questions along to the workshop.
Date: Tuesday 28 February
Time: 8-9am AEDT
