Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 5 to join us at our second annual Homebound Hustle 5K and Walk!

Music, food, t-shirts, community spirit, and more!
The People's Picnic

In collaboration with Mental Health Association, Team DeStig of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, and UMEWE, The People's Picnic is a social art project aiming to raise awareness and spark important conversations for and about mental health.

Promising Solution's Women's Campus had a painting party to bring this bright marker of mental health awareness to our community.
The fun, colorful picnic table will become an addition to the campus this fall!
Alicia and Family Receive New Home

Alicia and her children are excited to be settling into their new home! Alicia came to Family Promise after struggling with COVID19 and needing assistance with back rent. Family Promise social workers began working with the family through our Diversion Program and identified funding to assist them so they could stay housed. During this time, Alicia and her family experienced a fire in their apartment that left them displaced and living in a hotel. Alicia was awarded a permanent housing voucher, but was not able to move into her old apartment. Because the family needed to find a new place to live, Family Promise staff, through our Rapid Rehousing Program, was able to identify a three-bedroom unit using Alicia's housing voucher.

The Making Moves Matter team set up the home with all their special touches. Alicia and her children are thrilled to have a special place again to call home! Thank you to our wonderful donors for the furniture and household items, and a special thank-you to the donor who provided a basketball hoop!

HELPING HANDS
Diaper Shortage! The day center is running critically low on diapers. We especially need newborn and sizes 1 & 2 for some new babies in our programs, in addition to larger sizes as well. If you would like to donate a package of diapers, please contact Nora Godown at n.godown@familypromisemorris.org.
We are in need of new air conditioner units for families to keep cool this summer. A new window A/C unit provides much relief for an entire family and helps to prevent heat-related ailments. If you would like to donate a unit or funds for one, please contact Nora Godown at n.godown@familypromisemorris.org.
