You will learn about Hope Harbor's 2 year program and how it fits in between the NEST and successful independence and special guest Coleen Widell will inspire you!
The afternoon offers the most amazing Silent Auction with unusual and wonderful items.

Bruce DeFoor, Artist and Teacher, has gifted us with the right to sell reproductions of his painting "The Rains Return To Sierra Blanca". The original is on display at the Ruidoso Convention Center.
We are premiering the sale of these prints at "An Afternoon of Hope" and they will be available for purchase in various sizes and materials.

Come have Bruce DeFoor sign your print at the event and take home this inspiring painting! You may purchase a print at the event or order one to pick up later. Sales will begin after this event at Josies Framery, 2917 Sudderth Dr., Ruidoso and online at hopeharborNM.org.

Thank you StoneWater Church of Granbury, Texas for working the week of spring break at Hope Harbor installing fencing in the back acres and repairing the barn and cleaning out storage and cleaning up the grounds. Hope Harbor is looking to hire a program director and/or case manager.

Our ideal candidate will have a heart to work with women and children survivors of domestic violence. This is part time or full time position to begin training now and working at the building when we open.
 
  • A working knowledge of addiction and trauma is helpful, but not required.
  • We are looking for those who feel called to ministry through helping those in their healing journey.
  • Must be able to use conflict resolution skills, maintain a structured, firm, yet loving atmosphere in the home.
  • We require a willingness to follow the rules of Hope Harbor without compromise and with integrity. 
  • Must be emotionally stable, display maturity, and can separate her needs from the residents. 
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, committed to living a life honoring Him through biblical principles.

MISSION
The mission of Hope Harbor is to offer a Christ-centered program of hope, healing, and supportive guidance for women and children escaping domestic violence.
This up to two-year program offers safe housing, life-skills training, counseling and the opportunity for further education to promote financial stability.
Who we are:
Puerto Esperanza dba Hope Harbor is a 501(c) (3) tax-deductible organization (registered as Puerto Esperanza Inc. dba Hope Harbor) for women and children who have been affected by domestic violence.

Hope Harbor is a safe Christ-centered two-year transitional home at no cost for women and their children who have experienced domestic violence/abuse. Education, job skills, life skills, professional counseling and case management are offered to equip these families to succeed on their own.
