Saxony News

Welcome to the July issue of Saxony News!

If you did not open the special email several weeks ago regarding the disposal of the pool property, you can find it at POOL. That issue also included information on the street repair project.

Please continue to save plastic grocery bags and drop them off at Cilia's porch at 1009 Pine Creek Drive. The food pantry at First United Methodist is now serving more than 500 families per week.

Stay safe and happy, Saxony!

Willbarger Creek Park

Last week we took our dog to the Willbarger Creek Park and Dog Park. Mia really enjoyed herself as did her owners. There are two fenced off sections, one for larger and the other for smaller dogs and plenty of places to sit. It's a well-designed park even if you go without a pet. The park is located on N. Cascade Ave, the first street to the left when you enter the Highland Park subdivision. Go north on Railroad Ave. into the main entrance to the subdivision.

New Pflugerville Development

--Construction on Downtown East is underway, bringing new opportunities for residents to gather, connect and enjoy enhanced public spaces. The project, which began in December, includes a multigenerational recreation center designed for fitness, wellness and community activities. A new City Hall will provide modern amenities to better serve residents. The civic plaza will feature a stage, outdoor gathering spaces and nature-inspired play areas. The extension of Main Street will improve accessibility and further connect the growing community. The picture is an older view of design, so not sure if it is exactly accurate.

These additions will reshape downtown, creating a space for residents to enjoy for years to come. To see renderings and stay updated on the latest progress, visit pflugervilletx.gov/downtowneast.
