Gearing up for Wolfpack Welcome Week
Thursday, August 12-Saturday, August 21 is Wolfpack Welcome Week! It'll be here before you know it. So what do you need to know to make the most of it?

Wolfpack Welcome Week Toolkit
You can get a head start on maximizing your experiences, activities, events, and more by accessing some very helpful tools at NC State. Check out our short list below:

  • Download the NC State Guides App. If you're a first-year or transfer student, you've heard this before–and it's true! The NC State Guides App is one of the most comprehensive tools we offer to know all the goings-on around campus, now and throughout the year. Find lots of helpful information about Wolfpack Welcome Week there.
  • Surf the University Calendar. NC State has worked to develop a comprehensive calendar focused on engagement in a variety of areas. You can navigate through lots of events and activities, register, and add them to your calendar all from this one helpful site.
  • Hop on Social Media. We get it–there are apps, websites, newsletters, emails... It's a lot. Why not take matters into your own hands on social media? Search for key words like "NC State" to find accounts, posts, and activities to engage with. Search for the hashtag #NCStateWWW to find the latest posts on Wolfpack Welcome Week. Here's a list of most of NC State's official channels.
  • Check out Student Organizations. NC State has literally hundreds of student organizations–with interests ranging nearly every subject, idea, and concept. A great way to prepare for Wolfpack Welcome Week is to check out some of these organizations and explore your interests. RSVP for the Student Involvement Fair on August 21 here!

Civic and Community Engagement
Interest for the Alternative Service Break Program
We're excited to begin planning for 2021-2022 Alternative Service Break experiences!

The Alternative Service Break (ASB) program is a unique learning experience in which students engage in direct service to a community while being immersed in the culture. Teams are led by student team-leaders and accompanied by faculty or staff advisors.

Each team spends extensive time prior to travel doing team-building, planning for their experience, and studying the scope of their impact in the communities they will engage with. Throughout their travels, team members participate in a variety of cultural, educational, recreational, and reflective activities to enhance their service experience.
