Welcome Elizabeth Paul!
Elizabeth joined the Say Yes Guilford team as Vice President of Donor Impact. As the daughter of a long-time public school educator, Paul says the opportunity to work for Say Yes Guilford was one she couldn’t let pass. “We have the unique opportunity to fund something that is going to transform lives today and generations of lives in perpetuity. Who wouldn’t want to get behind that?”

It was wonderful to be with so many of you virtually last week for a little coffee and conversation. With so much work to do, and so many barriers to eliminate, the work is greater than any one organization, or person can do alone. We can accomplish more together for our students and our community, so we are committed to working alongside others, convening partners, and listening to the needs of our schools to serve the most students as possible.

I hope you will take a little time to watch our program if you have not already, and then decide to dig into the work. Read about our programs and partnerships, and find a place you can support or expand our work.

I speak for myself and my team when I say our students’ obstacles are greater than ever but so is our community's passion, and this organization’s to help. Our students need the community to rally behind Say Yes Guilford, so that this pandemic doesn't define their future, their dreams do.

Say Yes to Family Sucess
Lisa Bond has made her career in schools, but her first and favorite job is mom to Wendell and Atira. When they were in Guilford County Schools, she and her husband, a truck driver, encouraged them to work hard, and surround themselves with positive people. “We were concerned about how we were going to get these kids to college.” In 2015, when her son was a senior, they started to see the way. “Say Yes Guilford helped my son, covering tuition that scholarships didn’t cover. That was a tremendous help, and for my daughter too.”
