Hi, friends. In light of this month's theme, I thought I'd share a simple gratitude practice that has served me well.

I don't know where I first heard this, but here it goes: In your day-to-day, try to replace "I'm sorry" with "Thank you." For example, you're running late to an event with friends... Instead of saying "I'm sorry I'm late," try "Thank you for waiting for me." By rephrasing in this way, you acknowledge the inconvenience but also express your gratitude.

You might take this a step further. If you feel like you might respond critically or negatively to a situation, stop for a moment to be mindful of your language. Take a deep breath and try to use "Thank you" first. Your friends and family and co-workers will be appreciative too!

Happy practicing,
Alicia
