Old Guy, as he was affectionately known, was brought to the Sanctuary extremely feral and riddled with cancer. Over the course of the five years he spent with us, he underwent numerous surgeries for his cancer and saw his veterinarian twice a month. Old Guy also blossomed into one of the most loving cats in our care and won the hearts of visitors from around the world.
Recently, Old Guy's health declined and his quality of life decreased. We believe in quality of life over quantity of life, so we made the difficult decision to say goodbye.
Old Guy had become an unofficial ambassador for our Sanctuary, overcoming the odds and living out his best life. He will be missed greatly by our staff and visitors.
