SCHAUMBURG MAINTAINS HIGHEST CREDIT RATING
The Village of Schaumburg is pleased to announce that the financial services firm S&P Global Ratings (S&P) has reaffirmed the village’s AAA bond rating, which is the highest rating a municipality can obtain.

The rating is a result of the village’s preemptive actions to stabilize the budget through the COVID-19 pandemic, which were largely successful and allowed for maintaining consistent reserves and liquidity. Previously, S&P changed the rating outlook to negative due to the impact of the pandemic on economically sensitive tax revenue. However, due to strong financial flexibility and a stabilizing local economy, the rating outlook was changed from negative to stable.

ELECTRICAL AGGREGATION PROGRAM CHANGES
The Village of Schaumburg recently approved a new agreement with Eligo Energy for the Electrical Aggregation Program which will run from December 2021 through November 2022 at a rate that will match the monthly ComEd Price-to-Compare.

As the village's previous agreement with Dynegy comes to an end in December 2021, ComEd recently mailed letters to all Dynegy customers informing them whether they are: (1) being returned to ComEd’s default service or (2) being enrolled in the new program with Eligo. To view a sample of the recently mailed ComEd letter, click here.

Unlike previous programs, not all residents will automatically be enrolled in the new program, but all residents will pay the same rate. Those residents that were not automatically enrolled in the new program can do so by calling Eligo at (847) 534-7509. For more information about the village's Electrical Aggregation Program, visit the village's website.
