This April, Tony’s Fresh Market is expected to open its new grocery store in Town Square, at the corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads. Added signage officially displays the arrival of the highly anticipated grocery store. HOW TO HELP EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN TURKEY AND SYRIA
|
On Feb. 6, a series of devastating earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria. There is now an urgent need for humanitarian aid as these countries work to heal and rebuild in harsh winter conditions. Buildings and infrastructure have collapsed, and access to adequate shelter, food, and medical supplies is limited. Each day the death toll continues to grow and is expected to reach 70K people.
The Village of Schaumburg has a local connection to this crisis; more than 230 Turkish and Syrian immigrants call the village home. Please consider a donation to help provide lifesaving support to the region through one of the many humanitarian organizations running fundraising campaigns, including Embrace Relief, the Turkish American Society of Chicago’s GoFundMe page, and the International Rescue Committee.
