MAYOR DAILLY GIVES STATE OF THE VILLAGE ADDRESS | |
Schaumburg Village President Tom Dailly held his annual State of the Village address on Jan. 14 at the Good Morning Schaumburg breakfast hosted by the Schaumburg Business Association.
Attended by more than 200 people who represented businesses, organizations, and other stakeholders, President Dailly provided the audience with a summary of the village's successes in 2024 as well as a preview into the exciting developments and enhancements happening in 2025, including:
- Lurie Children’s Hospital’s three-story outpatient center, located at 1895 Arbor Glen Blvd., is anticipated to open in August, bringing high-quality medical care to the community and the northwest suburbs.
- H-MART, the beloved Asian grocery store, is relocating from 34 E. Golf Rd. to the former Kohl’s on Golf Road this spring. The new site will be H-Mart's largest facility, employing 100 people.
- HopScotch, a British-style pub, is anticipated to open this summer near Oberweis Dairy in Town Square.
- In April, Crossroads of Schaumburg will begin construction on the vacant area previously occupied by the former Macy’s furniture store, and will feature a variety of restaurants, including Lazy Dog, Cava, Velvet Taco and Piccolo Buco.
- 390 West Gateway, the 573-acre industrial park south of Wise Road, is being reviewed as an area poised for development and improvement to enhance its existing uses and to attract new ones to the area.
