WELCOME CONSULATE OF MONGOLIA
Thank you to members of the Consulate of Mongolia in Chicago for stopping by for a visit with Village President Tom Dailly and staff on May 10. The consulate is new to Schaumburg and is located at 1111 Plaza Dr. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 Mongolians live in the United States with about half the population living in and near the Chicago area. Members of the consulate shared information about their culture, highlighted some upcoming events, and requested to learn more about how it can partner with the Village of Schaumburg to best serve the community.
REGISTER NOW FOR THE VILLAGE'S BUSINESS BIKE CLASSIC
To celebrate National Bike Month, the Village of Schaumburg has organized the 4th Annual Business Bike Classic team bicycle challenge. Please see the flyer for more details regarding this year's challenge. Please note that this year, the cumulative results will be recorded for the top teams in each of the three mileage brackets (100-999 miles; 1,000-1,999 miles; 2,000+ miles).

The contest is open to any business or business organization in Schaumburg employing four or more people. Since many people are working from home, you do not have to be currently working in Schaumburg, but your designated workplace location must be in Schaumburg. Teams of four will record their bicycle mileage for anywhere a team member bicycles during the month of June. Stationary and spinning miles count, too! For more information, contact Rachel Benson or dial 311 in Schaumburg. To register a team, complete the online registration.
REPUBLIC SERVICES CART COLLECTION UPDATE
Republic Services is continuing to collect old garbage and recycling carts from throughout the village. The vendor is still working through the first "sweep" of the village, which it expects to complete sometime next week. Once the first sweep is complete, they will perform a second sweep of the village for any carts that were missed in the first sweep. Residents are asked to leave old carts out curbside until they are collected. The village thanks you for your patience during this transition process. Residents with questions can dial 311 in Schaumburg.

Questions regarding the new LRS service can be directed to (844) 633-3577 or visit the village's website.
