A THANKSGIVING MESSAGE FROM VILLAGE PRESIDENT TOM DAILLY
As we usher in the busy, fast-paced holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to share a few highlights of why I’m grateful this Thanksgiving. First, we live in a wonderful community that continues to achieve great things! Our population has grown by 6 percent since 2010, and responses from our recent National Community Survey indicate that 95 percent of respondents rate the village as an excellent or good place to live. I’m thankful for the continued support of the elected officials and the village’s essential staff who serve the public with professionalism and dedication – these are key reasons why Schaumburg remains such a popular place to live, work and play.

I’m also thankful for the residents who have made Schaumburg their home and for the businesses that choose to invest in our community. Let’s continue to support each other and remember to shop local during the holidays and throughout the year. Don’t forget Small Business Saturday is Nov. 26!

And finally, I’m grateful for my family and friends who support me in ways too countless to mention. The holidays are a perfect time to acknowledge those who have played an important role in your life.

From my family to yours, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving and I hope to see you at the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

SUPPORT LOCAL, SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY NOV. 26
At the Nov. 8 Village Board Meeting, Village President Dailly proclaimed the Saturday after Thanksgiving as "Small Business Saturday in Schaumburg" to celebrate local small businesses and the contributions they make to the community and local economy. The Village of Schaumburg is home to an estimated 4,500 small businesses, many of which reflect the robust diversity in Schaumburg. In an effort to encourage shoppers to buy locally, the village's Economic Development Department delivered reusable grocery sacks to six grocers in town. Shoppers will receive a bag on Saturday, Nov. 26 at the following participating grocers while supplies last:

Graciano's - 2379 Bode Rd.
KD Market - 1102 S. Roselle Rd.
