As we continue to do our best to put the coronavirus pandemic in our rearview mirror, please know that the Village of Schaumburg is doing what it can to return to a state of “normalcy.” We recently reopened our Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, celebrated our 50th anniversary of Septemberfest, and we’re excited to bring back our annual tree lighting ceremony. I know the last two years have not been easy so we’re thankful to return to planning events and activities that so many of us know and enjoy.
The holidays are a great time to slow down and reflect on the true meaning of what the day means for you. Thanksgiving is about being thankful and having gratitude for the people and things that make our lives special. I am thankful for my family, friends, elected officials, and the village’s essential staff who continue to support each other to make sure Schaumburg continues to thrive and grow. I am also thankful for the residents and businesses who have shown great resiliency, overcoming numerous challenges – both big and small – as we navigate the uncertain road ahead.
Regardless of how you celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you will find ways to acknowledge the people and events that have brought you happiness. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful community we call home, the Village of Schaumburg.
From my family to yours, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
