THANK YOU FOR A MEMORABLE SEPTEMBERFEST | |
Septemberfest is a longtime Schaumburg tradition, and we were thrilled to celebrate another memorable Labor Day weekend with our community! From live music and carnival rides to the Arts & Crafts Show, Taste of Schaumburg, Labor Day Parade and more, the Schaumburg vibe was on full display throughout the weekend.
It takes a village to bring Septemberfest to life. We extend our sincere thanks to the Septemberfest Committee, village employees, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and community partners whose hard work and support make this celebration possible year after year.
Most of all, thank you to the residents and visitors who joined us and helped make the weekend so special. Great food, live music, longtime traditions, and time spent together—that’s the Schaumburg vibe.
Thank you for celebrating with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Septemberfest next year!
| FIBER INTERNET CONSTRUCTION COMING TO SCHAUMBURG | |
Over the next several years, residents throughout Schaumburg can expect to see fiber internet construction coming to their neighborhoods as Ezee Fiber, Lumos Fiber, and Ripple Fiber build new fiber-optic networks throughout the community. These companies will provide residents and businesses with additional choices for high-speed internet service and expand access to fast, reliable connections that can support remote work, streaming, online learning, smart-home technology, and other growing technology needs. Residents are not required to subscribe to any of these providers as a result of construction occurring in their neighborhood.
The Village Board has approved Master License Agreements (MLAs) with each of the three fiber providers. These agreements establish the requirements the companies must follow when constructing and maintaining fiber infrastructure within the village’s public rights-of-way, including permitting, construction coordination, restoration, inspection, and other applicable village standards.
Fiber construction will be completed underground and may include locating existing utilities, directional boring to install underground fiber cable, and placing small utility boxes or other equipment where necessary to support the network. Village staff is coordinating with each provider to help manage the pace and location of construction, minimize overlapping work where possible, and ensure areas disturbed by construction are appropriately restored.
For additional information about fiber construction, participating providers, what residents can expect when work reaches their neighborhood, and frequently asked questions, visit the village’s fiber FAQ page.
| COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE SEPT. 15 | |
A single blood donation can make a meaningful difference for patients in need. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood or platelets, and volunteer donors play an important role in helping maintain a reliable blood supply for hospitals and patients.

Donating blood is a simple way to give back, and a single donation has the potential to help multiple people. Eligible donors are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 1-877-258-4825 or registering online using sponsor code ORD0SH98. Walk-ins are also welcome.
