90 North Update
90 North continues to be a major draw for new investment in the TIF District. In November, Topgolf celebrated its one year anniversary of its Schaumburg location and Element Apartments welcomed its first residents in June. Element Apartment's new website offers leasing information and views of its upscale amenities and fun community features.

Development is now complete on the 8-story, 180,000 square foot Boler-Hendrickson office headquarters. Relocation of the company’s employees is currently underway. Northgate at Veridian by DR Horton is also making substantial progress. The 260 residential unit row home development is nearing completion with model units currently available for touring.
DR Horton is currently marketing its units for sale, which were completed at the end of 2020. The sales office for the townhome units is located onsite at 2300 Progress Pkwy. Floor plans of the different models are available online.

Additional interest in corporate headquarter businesses and other developments remains high as the village continues to market development sites with Urban Street Group to site selectors and businesses. The Village of Schaumburg is also working with Kensington Development Partners for the Entertainment District that will build upon the success of the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel. Smashburger - 1721 E. Golf Rd.

Smashburger is the newest tenant in the Woodfield Gatherings Shopping Center, and is now located at 1721 E. Golf Rd. Smashburger is an American fast casual restaurant that offers 100% Certified Angus Beef burgers and crispy chicken sandwiches. Shorewood invested more than $150,000 to renovate the 2,100 SF space. 
Shabu-You - 1180 Plaza Dr.

Shabu-You will soon be the new occupant of the former Chevy’s space as interior and exterior renovations continue at 1180 Plaza Drive. Shabu-You will serve primarily shabu shabu, which is a traditional Japanese dish that consists of thinly sliced meat and vegetables cooked in a hot broth. Work is estimated to be completed in early to mid-2021.

“District 211 completes $17.7 million sale of Schaumburg land”
School District 211 has closed on its sale of a vacant 62-acre site in Schaumburg and received the full payment of $17.7 million from Nitti Development LLC, for the construction of 149 single-family houses. At this time, the developer is refining its plans to provide more detailed construction drawings to obtain permits for the approved project.
North Suburban Cook County 2019 Reassessment Report
The Cook County Assessor’s Office recently published its 2019 Reassessment Report for the northern suburbs. This report covers:

  • Property valuation and assessments
  • Comparison to real estate data
  • Self-study of assessment accuracy, uniformity and equity
  • Information about property tax exemptions and incentives
  • Accounts of more than 200 meetings with property owners throughout Cook County
  • Property tax analysis following the triennial reassessment of the north suburbs in 2019 
IDPH Vaccination Plan
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has helped develop the official State of Illinois COVID-19 Vaccination Plan, which is being used to provide information on plans for vaccination implementation. Section 3 specifically details which types of individuals and employees will be eligible to receive vaccinations as supplies become available.
