Be Not Afraid

Father, our protector and guide, we ask you to come to our rescue in this world full trouble and problems. Our journey here on earth is likened to a journey on the sea. Remind us of our allegiance and dependence on you, not on the boat or anyone else but you, God. May we also help each other carry each other’s burden. With you as our Captain of the ship, we are confident that even the sea and the wind will listen and obey you. May we, as your children, listen and call on you, and follow you every day.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. John Neumann, pray for us.
