Thank You To Our Residents

I want to extend a sincere thank you to all of our residents who moved their cars off the streets during last week's winter storms.

Your cooperation made a huge difference for our Service Department, which worked tirelessly to clear snow, even through Saturday and Sunday, while battling nearly one inch of snowfall per hour Saturday night.

Why it matters:

  • Snowplow safety – Maneuvering plows is already challenging, and parked cars make it even more dangerous.

  • Better road conditions – Removing cars allows our crews to widen streets and keep neighborhoods passable.

  • Less shoveling for you: Cars in driveways often mean less snow piled up at the end of your driveway.

While the streets aren't perfect and frigid temperatures limit the effectiveness of salt, your efforts helped us keep up with the storm. I appreciate your patience as well. The timing of the storm required us to give our Service Department Team time to rest before hitting the streets again yesterday. Our crews are exhausted but remain committed, and they're back out today working hard to widen roads across our village.

Looking ahead to future storms, please continue to encourage your neighbors to move their cars into driveways. By helping us, we can make snow removal safer, faster, and more effective for everyone.

Also, when shoveling snow or using a snow blower, please do not throw snow into the street. Instead, please place it in your yard so our crews can clear the roads more efficiently and keep them safe for all.
