Despite two lightening delays late in the day, birdies were made and sub par rounds posted for many. Leader in the clubhouse, Abigail Schimpf, continued to ride the birdie train with four birdies to fire her second under par round for the tournament, 71, and a two day total 141. Schimpf sits at three under after two rounds and holds onto the lead by one shot over Isabella Rawl (142). Rawl posted a 4 under 68 today tying low round for the tournament, thus far, with Rachel Rich (143). Both Rawl and Rich carded 5 birdies with Rich jumping on a string of birdies on holes 13-16 to post a back nine 32 and be in third place, just two shots behind Schimpf. Hilton Head locals Savannah Hylton (70), Wexford Plantation, and Sophia Burnett (72) , Colleton River, are in 4th and 5th, respectively. Hylton shot a perfect bogey free round in her route to a 2 under 70.
