Scholar Spotlight

Each day we spend time with scholars who radiate light and joy!

It is a delight to get to know them and watch them grow.

Today, we introduce you to our scholar Anastasia!

Anastasia is a 2nd grader and attends Scholars After School! Anastasia is bursting with confidence.

She’s outgoing, funny, and talkative. Anastasia wants to be an actor one day and with her expressive personality, there is no doubt that she is already a shining star.

My favorite subjects in school: Literacy, Science, and Math

Something I could teach someone: Multiplication! I know a little about it and I like math!

My favorite color: Maroon!

Something awesome about me: My hair is awesome!

Some of my favorite activities: I like to jump rope and play soccer.

My favorite thing about Scholars: I like that we get to have fun and do activities. I also like going into the gym.

My favorite book: It's about a black girl with super poufy hair!

Something that makes me happy: It makes me happy that I have a little sister. She likes toys and we play together.

One person I admire: My auntie Desiree. We like the same things!

"I love the Scholars After School program because it gives the kids opportunities to get to know each other, to cooperate, and work together. It’s so great for the students to have activities after school."

-Sujey, Anastasia's Mom
