Hello!


While at this time of year there is much attention on the FAFSA and scholarships that may have residency requirements, it is important to note that there are also many scholarships available for students who are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.

THE DREAM US SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible students are those who are:


  • Came to the United States prior to November 1st, 2018


  • Came to the United States prior to the age of 16


  • Graduate high school with a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA


  • Will be attending one of the following colleges in AZ:


  • Arizona State University
  • Grand Canyon University
  • Northern Arizona University
  • Phoenix College
  • University of Arizona


There are other partner schools out-of-state, in addition to those in AZ.


The application deadline is 2/29/24

SCHOLARSHIPS A-Z

Scholarships A-Z is a Tucson-based organization that works to support students not eligible for federal financial aid.


  • Year-round support and programming for students


  • Information on Prop 308, which Arizona voters passed in 2022. Because of Prop 308, students who graduated from Arizona high schools after attending for at least two years qualify for in-state tuition at public Arizona colleges (community colleges and universities) regardless of their immigration status.


  • Students can find more scholarship opportunities on the Scholarships A - Z website (scholarships are listed by application deadline month) including the below which are currently open:



Scholarship opportunity for Tempe Union High School District seniors.

Application deadline: 2/23/24



Scholarship opportunity for Youth on Their Own (YOTO) participants

and students attending Tucson area high schools.

Application deadline: 4/5/24
