It's Time to Fall Back! Daylight Saving Time is coming to an end. On Nov. 5, clocks will “fall back” one hour, granting most people an extra hour of sleep. 

Cast Your Vote Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7! Voting is important, and in King County, it’s easier than ever. Return your ballot by mail or drop box – no stamp needed!  

Calling All Seniors The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship is now open until Thursday, Dec. 14. If you want to learn more, sign up to attend the Scholarship Social on Nov. 15 at Amazon's Meeting Center. 

No School Nov. 23-24 In observance of Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day, schools will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. The district office will also be closed. 

FAFSA and WASFA Open Soon Applications for federal and Washington state financial aid open Dec. 1. Start gathering your paperwork now so you’ll be ready! 

Thank You for Your Service SPS recognizes those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. In observance of Veterans Day, there will be no school on Friday, Nov. 10.  

Keeping The Promise The Seattle Promise Scholarship is open to all SPS graduates. Join an upcoming workshop to get help with this Seattle Colleges scholarship application.  

Sign Up for AP Exams The final deadline for students to register for the 2024 Advanced Placement (AP) exams coming up!      

The Source Upgrades Ahead The Source will be unavailable Nov. 10-12 as the system undergoes upgrades. Students and families will not be able to access the Source during this time. 

Get Ready for Winter Weather From time to time, winter weather may change the normal school schedule. As winter approaches, review how to get urgent weather information.   

Vaccine Clinics Getting vaccines is optimal for getting through cold-weather seasons. School-based health centers offer free vaccinations for students including COVID-19, flu, and required childhood vaccines.
