Dear HCA and WCS Community,

We are pleased to share an important update regarding the leadership of our school. After a thoughtful and prayerful process, a new school board has been seated to guide the mission and vision of our shared community.

This milestone follows an intentional and objective vetting process, carried out with care by a dedicated Board Vetting Team comprised of representatives from both HCA and WCS. The team worked diligently to discern individuals who embody the values, commitment, and spiritual maturity needed to serve our schools faithfully and effectively.

While the school administration or leadership manages all day-to-day activities and operations of the school, the school board is responsible for providing oversight, governance and accountability to ensure that the school stays true to its mission, vision and values. Some of the immediate focus areas for the school board, in working with the school leadership, will be to:

  • Adopt a joint statement of faith for the new school
  • Approve and adopt the school’s mission statement, vision and values
  • Update bylaws
  • Finalize and approve the annual budget
  • Implement policies and a governance structure, including a finance committee
  • Set the go-forward strategic direction for the school

These new board members are passionate about the opportunity this new school has to maximize kingdom impact and bring glory to God in the greater Fox Valley area. The board is committed to maintaining and growing upon the strong foundations of academic excellence, discipleship focus, and a culture of community, and to see that the heart, soul, mind and strength of each student is developed to follow Christ into the world.

We give thanks to God for His guidance throughout this process and are confident that the newly seated board will lead with wisdom, humility, and a deep love for our students, families and staff. As they begin this important work, we invite you to join us in continued prayer for unity, clarity, and grace in the months ahead. Please continue to check the Partnership FAQs for further updates and information.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we move forward together, anchored in faith and focused on the future of our children.

Stronger Together,

The Steering Committee and the Board Vetting Transition Team
