Summer Jobs for Classified Workers
The Personnel Commission is accepting applications for 10-month employees interested in working for Summer School, as well as the School Enrichment and Learning (SEAL) Program for 2022. To qualify for summer employment, the applicant must be a permanent/probationary classified employee working on less than a 12-month calendar. The dates of the programs are June 27 to July 22 for elementary, middle and K-8 schools. High school dates are June 27 to July 29. Instructions on accessing the online application are available under Personnel Commission in the A-Z index at lbschools.net (then select Summer Employment). The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 18.

Transfer Applications
Human Resource Services is accepting transfer requests from teachers who wish to change school sites or have been displaced for the 2022-23 school year. See the Teachers Association of Long Beach agreement, Article VIII for guidelines.
The application can be completed and submitted online. Scroll down to the Transfer section on this page, which can also be found at lbschools.net under Employees > Human Resource Services > For Current Employees.
Teachers may choose to complete either or both the Elementary and Secondary Transfer application, depending on their credentials. Teachers may select sites or subject/grade levels on the Request for Transfer whether or not those positions are current vacancies. Applications are available now and are due March 31. Transfer requests are valid through the end of the first seven student days of the following traditional school year.
