CalPERS Retirement Workshop

A California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) retirement planning workshop for classified employees will be offered by the Personnel Commission on Wednesday, June 1. Representatives from CalPERS, LBUSD Payroll and Risk Management will answer questions at the session, which runs from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Personnel Commission Auditorium, 4400 Ladoga Ave., Lakewood. COVID-19 Testing for LBUSD Students and Employees

As a reminder, PCR and antigen rapid tests are available to LBUSD staff and students who are symptomatic or potentially coming off isolation.

Annual Enrollment for Health Benefits is Now Open!

All changes to medical, dental, vision and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) plans must be in by May 31. Enroll online at lbusdbenefits.com or call 866-844-9744, option 4, Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any changes will be effective July 1, 2022!

For employees who do not make changes, current elections will continue for the 2022-23 plan year, EXCEPT the FSA plans. By IRS rules, current FSA election will not automatically renew for the next year. For those with a current plan year (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022) FSA, you have until Sept. 15, 2022, to use your available balance, and until Sept. 28, 2022 to submit those expenses to WageWorks.

Enrollment packets have been mailed to home addresses on file. If you didn’t get your big white envelope, please update your address through “myLBUSD Portal.”
