The American Rescue Plan, the third federal COVID-19 relief law, passed in March 2021. This legislation provides one-time funds for Kettle Moraine School District through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III grant program. The grant application process includes several required steps KMSD must complete to receive ESSER III funds.

While some school districts must spend only a minimum of 20 percent of their ESSER III dollars on Evidence-Base Intervention Strategies (EBIS), Kettle Moraine’s resources come from a more heavily-restricted pool of federal stimulus funds - 100 percent of KM’s funds must be used exclusively for EBIS.

KMSD needs your help! Please share your ideas and input via a survey to help KMSD determine programs and services that may benefit from these funds, which must meet the criterion outlined by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
