February 2020
A calendar committee comprised of teachers, staff, and parents recently met to create two calendar options for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.

We're asking Pelham City Schools employees, parents, and community stakeholders to review the calendar options and complete a short survey to select the option you view most beneficial. Deadline is Monday, February 17.

Our latest Profile booklet is included in the February edition of the Shelby County Reporter's Profile magazine. The booklet is titled “Inspired”, and it features a section about each commitment in our strategic plan with highlights about the transformation and accomplishments of our school system in our first five years.
In February and March, our digital citizenship curriculum focuses on realizing the impact of online communications for middle and high school students, and the importance of positive and supportive online interactions for elementary students. Take a look at our latest parent resource sheets and talk with students about how to be supportive and kind, defuse drama, and “take the high road” in their interactions online.

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year and Support Person of the Year Honorees from each school!

This wonderful group of teachers and staff came together with family and colleagues to celebrate their accomplishments for a reception and recognition at the Board of Education meeting on January 27.

The Pelham City Schools Foundation hosted a Mardi Gras themed casino night event on February 8. “A Night of Purpose” was a huge success with nearly 200 attendees enjoying an evening of gaming, dancing, silent auction, and more at Venue 31 in Pelham. It was a great occasion to celebrate our community while raising money to provide additional resources to benefit the students and teachers of  Pelham City Schools !
