At the February 25, 2025 Regular Board Meeting, two action items regarding staffing reductions were tabled to a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Tri-City SELPA Resource Fair hosted by Santa Monica High School with Tri-City SELPA Assistant Superintendent Deanna Sinfield, Tri-City SELPA CCUSD Representative Lindsay Crain, and Board Member Guerrero.

CCMS ASB hosted the successful 4th Annual Black Owned Business Expo on February 28th to close out Black History Month. Current student board members Rafu Egashira and Kyra Doss as well as former student board member Emma Burrows supported the event.

8th Grade Parent Night/CCHS Open House was well attended on Wednesday, February 26th. Great to welcome so many families to campus to preview offerings for the next school year.

I joined a number of current and former federal, state, and local leaders at LA City Councilmember Ysabel Jurado's swearing-in ceremony on February 1st.

Bagel Bytes, CCUSD First Robotics Team 702, has begun competition season! We got a preview of the robot and insight into their process at their community event last weekend.
