2023-24 School Calendar

A message from your District Administrator

Dear School District of Wisconsin Dells Community Members,

Please take a moment to review this month’s edition of our e-newsletter. District officials have put together a variety of articles to keep our district’s constituents up-to-date on a variety of topics at all levels of our schools. If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to acquire more details. Thank you!

Dear Parents & Caregivers,

Welcome back to the start of the 2023-24 school year! This month's edition comes at the beginning of the second week of the school year, allowing me to comment on the start of the year. First, thank you for starting the school year positively, as each school's open house events saw high attendance and participation. This year, the Nelson Family Performing Arts Center saw approximately 450 in attendance for the grand opening. As mentioned in previous communication, this facility will allow students interested in the fine arts an opportunity to perform in a state-of-the-art facility. This is something that will only enhance many of the good things already taking place in the fine arts department. We hope to see you at a future event!

Does Your Teen Have Snapchat?

By Allison Hoch, High School Principal

Snapchat is an app that causes a lot of headaches for parents and school officials. Messages are deleted as soon as they are seen, making sending nude pictures or bullying-type comments easier. The Snap Map allows students to see others hanging out together when they weren’t invited. The Snapstreak gives students a social media to-do list that is unnecessary to diligently complete.  ...READ MORE
