A Note From the Principal:
Welcome to 2018 and back to school! Teachers have already been gearing up for this semester, and have been in prayer for their students and their families. As we move from the Christmas season let us not leave behind the meaning. As a school we want to continue spreading God’s love to those around us and to our families and we pray it will spread from there also, so all the world will know. ~Mrs. Pingleton
“Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.” ~Isaiah 12:5

Thank you for all of your contributions to our Christmas Program, to help bring Bethlehem to life! Thank you to those who contributed to Operation Christmas Child and helped us share God’s love with over 46 children across the globe. Finally, a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for class parties, and for all of your sweet gifts for our teachers and staff. It is a joy to teach your children and serve our community together.

School Counselor Available:
We are excited to announce that we now have a school counselor available as a free resource to our families. We are very blessed to be able to offer the support and wisdom of Mr. Ken Foster, who has 30+ years experience in child and family counseling. Appointment topics may include, but are not limited to: difficulties with children at home or school, marriage support, divorce, and grief counseling. Please contactPastor Chad at to schedule an appointment with Mr. Foster.
Semester Awards:
We will be presenting Semester Awards on January 12th at 2:20pm. As mentioned in a previous newsletter, we made two changes to our award system this year. 1) Our 1st-5th grade students now receive Honor Roll ribbons only at semesters. 2) We added an “Encompass Award” to recognize students who meet academic standards, as well as, display good behavior and Christian character. We are excited about this new reward, as it will better reflect our concern for our students’ lifelong walk with the Lord.

National School Choice Week:
Bookcliff Christian School is excited to participate in National School Choice Week, January 22nd -26th. NSCW is the world’s largest celebration of opportunity in education. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide quality, Christ-centered Christian education for 29 years! To help us celebrate, we invite you to take this time, to share your experience at BCS with others. We would love it if you would leave a positive review on Google, Facebook, and Great Schools, for other parents to see and consider as they make their own choices in education. Thank you for choosing BCS for your child’s education and for sharing your experience with others! You can also read & submit testimonials on our website.

Open House & Open Enrollment:
We will be hosting an Open House on January 25th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Join us for a fun evening to Celebrate School of Choice Week and invite your friends to tour our classrooms and meet our staff! This will also begin our open enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year.

Fun Pasta Fundraiser!
We have a new fundraiser coming this February! We finally found something that's easy to sell and has a great profit margin – Fun Pasta Fundraising! BCS will earn 40-50% of each sale. Our window to shop and sell is February 2nd–9th. We have a goal of $4,000. This is a big goal, and we need every family committed to selling lots of pasta in order to reach it.We try not to ask a lot in terms of fundraising throughout the year, but it is a vital part of our school’s budget. As you know, we do not receive tax dollars to provide private education, and we make every effort to keep our tuition as low as possible. This means that donations and fundraising are vital. We hope you will help your student do their part to make this fundraiser a success! Look for more information coming soon!

New Community Library!
We now have books for families enjoy! You will find the shelves inside the school entrance, and may checkout and return books freely, on the honor system. Parents are also welcome to share books, by bringing them to the office.
