Letter from Principal Young

Dear OLOL Families,
Catholic Schools Week is fast approaching and we are getting excited for the week. I am hoping that all of our school families can attend the 10:15AM Mass on Sunday, January 30th. This is a great way to thank our parish for the dedication to OLOL Catholic School and to show off our school to the parish. We are asking that students wear their Lourdes Way T-shirt. Students can also participate by reading or singing in the choir. Please plan on attending Mass on January 30th.
Enrollment for 2022-2023 school year begins on January 30th. All existing families will receive a link from TADS to start the enrollment process. The enrollment fee during Catholic Schools Week is $50. Please take advantage of this special rate and enroll during Catholic Schools Week.
If you know of a friend or relative that has an interest in Catholic education for their children, please don’t hesitate having them reach out to me. I would love the opportunity to tell them what an OLOL education can do for their family. I know that our graduates have a distinct advantage to their peers when entering high school. We want to be able to give as many children as possible this opportunity.
We are wrapping up Catholic Schools Week on Friday, February 4th with the OLOL Family Dance at the Green Bay Distillery from 6:00-8:30PM. Please see the attached form to purchase tickets for your family. This is a great way to celebrate what makes the OLOL Catholic School such a wonderful community. We would love to see you there.

Fang Reading Club -- Starts Now!
|
Although it does not feel, (or look like), baseball season yet, the Fang Reading Club started on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade can once again have fun playing “baseball” by reading through the bases. After they read 200 minutes at home, within a two week period, they will slide onto a “base.” That’s only 20 minutes a day! Every two weeks they can read their way onto the next base by reading 200 more minutes. Then, hopefully they will make a “homerun” on March 11th.
Students who make it to home plate are rewarded with a free hot dog and drink, and a ticket to the OLOL Family Night game with the Timber Rattlers on Friday, May 6, 2022.
We hope all students in grades K-5 will “step up to the plate” and join in the fun! Look for more information on Fang Reading Club sheets below. If you have any questions, please contact your teacher or Ms. J. Johnson.
“Swing batter, batter, swing” … into reading with Fang and the Timber Rattlers!
