Dear OLOL Families,
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School wishes to thank all students and/or families that nominated an OLOL teacher for the Golden Apple awards. When I talk about the Golden Apple awards with teachers, most OLOL teachers are just happy to be recognized by students and families. They are happy to be recognized beyond our stakeholders, but they know that our students are the reason why we invest time and energy into what we do.
The VFW holds a Patriot Pen Essay contest for our 6th-8th graders. Last week, representatives presented the winners of that contest. Congratulations to Haylee Huth, Margaret Destree, and Julia Day who all placed in the contest. Great job OLOL students!
Catholic Schools Week kicks off on Sunday, January 29th. I’m asking our students and families attend the 10:15am Mass on that day. The OLOL Parish is the largest financial supporter of our school. Coming to this Mass, in particular, is the greatest way to say thank you. We are also asking for readers and choir members for that Mass, please see link below.
Following Mass the teachers would like to say thank you by cooking you breakfast. We will hold a pancake breakfast after Mass for our families and parishioners. If you know of someone who might be interested in Catholic education at OLOL, please bring them along. I would love to talk with them and have them meet our staff.
Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year kicks off on Sunday, January 29. Existing families will receive a link to re-enroll with a special enrollment cost. If you are returning to OLOL, please take advantage of this discount. We are predicting a large enrollment for preschool and kindergarten for next year. We encourage you to enroll early, to avoid being put on the waitlist.
Just a reminder, if you would like to attend the Green Bay Gamblers game on Saturday, January 28th and watch me try to scoop up as much cash as I can for our school, please purchase your tickets this week. Order form is attached.
