Letter from Principal Young

Dear OLOL Families,

I have been in education for 15 years now but I’m still experiencing firsts. This is the first time ever that the return from spring break started with a 2 hour delay.

The annual Lenten Dinner is this Friday and I hope that you can join us for this OLOL community event. The dinner is from 4:00 - 7:00PM with the 8th grade carnival from 4:30-6:30PM. For those basketball fans, we are planning on having the games shown in the social hall. We would love to see you there.

Speaking of the 8th grade carnival, we are still in need of prizes for the event. If you have some games, prizes, puzzles, etc. that you would like to get out of your house, we would love if you could donate them to us. We will also be implementing a new system for the carnival games. The price of admission is $10 per student for unlimited carnival games. Some games will award tickets which can be redeemed at a prize station. Please bring cash if your son or daughter will be playing at the carnival.

We hope that you had a wonderful spring break and are ready for the final stretch of the 2022-2023 school year.

Just a reminder that GRACE is offering a $200 tuition credit if you refer a new family to any GRACE school. If you know of someone that is interested in Catholic education for their son or daughter, please have them reach out and schedule a tour. I would love to tell them about what an OLOL education means to their child and family.

OLOL Announces T2 Honor Rolls

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is proud to announce the

2022-2023 Trimester 2 Honor Rolls.

To receive High Honors, a student must average a 3.5-4.0 grade point average at the end of the trimester. To attain Honors, a student must average a 3.0-3.49 grade point average.

GRACE Enrollment for 2023-24

Enroll using the TADS website to complete the online enrollment process which involves answering registration questions for each child, paying the enrollment fee and setting up your tuition agreement and payment plan.

The process in its entirety must be completed to reserve your child’s seat at a GRACE school for fall 2023.

The tradition continues ... Kiddie Carnival in the school gymnasium, sponsored by the 8th grade class, during the OLOL Lenten Fish Dinner. $10 to play any and all games!

Wanted: Small toys and prizes

OLOL and the 8th graders are looking for small toys and prizes for the Kiddie Carnival. Please check your closets for unused toys, games, prizes, etc that you would like to get out of your house.

13th Annual OLOL Trivia Night

Trivia Night is an exciting, interactive

trivia contest played in teams of up to

eight people. Teams compete in six rounds

of trivia with varying topics and subjects

for everyone!

The fun doesn’t stop there... In addition to

trivia, the evening features two 50/50

raffles, intermission contests, and a prize

for the best themed table. Beverages and

appetizers will also be available to make

this an enjoyable evening for everyone.

Trivia Night is open to all adults, so invite

your family, friends and neighbors for a

friendly evening of fun and competition!

Tuition Tax credit

Tuition tax credit information is available to GRACE families online via GRACE’s enrollment management system, TADS. The TADS Household Paid Tuition Tax Report will provide a breakdown of payments made for the specified household’s tuition account during the tax year.

This year, a quick link also appears at the Billing Accounts – Tuition & Fees screen to access the Household Paid Tuition Tax Report.

Refer new families and earn an incentive for yours. We at GRACE value the support and loyalty of our school families, and are excited to announce our New Family Referral Program, which rewards our existing families with a tuition incentive for referring new families that enroll in our system.

GRACE participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP), also known as Choice or the School Voucher Program.

This program allows eligible students who reside in Wisconsin, meet state requirements and are selected by the program to attend Catholic school tuition-free.

NDA Middle School Dance

The next Middle School Dance is Friday, March 24 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at NDA. More information will be mailed to your school.

Spanish Placement Exam

SAVE THE DATE! The Spanish placement exam can be taken by any incoming freshman that has already registered at Notre Dame Academy for the 2023-2024 school year to help determine whether the student should be placed in a Spanish I or Spanish II course. If you know that you would like your son/daughter to start in Spanish I, he/she should NOT take the placement exam. Incoming freshmen interested in enrolling in Spanish II must take the placement exam.

The test will be offered on-site at NDA on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. We have a make-up test date: Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Students MUST make one of these dates in order to enroll in Spanish 2.

Pancake Run/Walk

Do you like pancakes? How about walking or running? Well you can do both as the Pancake Run/Walk is right around the corner. This year the date is April 20th at NDA’s Track. and the cost is $20. You will get a Tshirt and unlimited pancakes tossed at you by Mr. Konshak!

This event was forced to take a break due to covid, but we are back. In the three years this event has been run, it has raised over $3500 towards several groups. The money raised this year will go towards the NDA Closet, a fund that helps our very own students with such needs as lunch, uniforms, extra curricular activity fees and tutoring to name a few. Please consider joining us this year for a flipping great time.
