Letter from Principal Young

Dear OLOL Families,

Last week we celebrated Donuts for Dads art our school Mass last Wednesday.  We had a great turn out of dads, grandfathers, and father-figures.  Thanks to all that attended and thank you to those that wanted to but had other commitments.   As I said at Mass the role of father is extremely important and can make a huge impact.  I take my job as principal of OLOL very seriously and I try each day to make good decisions on what is best for the students and school.  I know those decisions are important but I know nothing is more important than the decisions that I make as a father.  Thank you dads!

I would also like to thank the OLOL moms that helped make the day event run so smoothly.

Thank you to all of our parents that work tirelessly as volunteers for our school.   You help us in many ways.  Just a reminder to enter the hours that you worked HERE. We only have a few more volunteer opportunities so this is a good time to submit your hours and review your commmitment in terms of hours worked.

The  OLOL teachers do some wonderful things in the classroom.  Over the years there are different learning activities that always bring a smile to my face.   Some of them are 1st grade pumpkin day, M/S social studies travel videos,  kindergarten mystery readers, and the 3rd grade wax museum.  Last week was the 3rd grade wax museum.  I love history and I loved seeing our students take on the role of individuals that influenced so many.  Thank you Mrs. Matzke for your dedication to this learning activity.
