Dear OLOL Families,
Congratulations to our second graders that received their first Holy Communion on Sunday. Our hope is that the student’s first Holy Communion will lead them to create a deep, close relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. I was extremely proud of our students and how well they were prepared and how reverent they were. Parents, thank you for your involvement in bringing your child to this moment. We appreciate all that you have done.
We are in need of some volunteers to help with the OLOL Electronic Recycling Drive this is happening this coming Saturday from 8:00 - Noon. Proceeds go directly to OLOL Catholic School. Click HERE to sign-up. We are still in need of about 15 folks. This is an easy way to earn TSF hours. All you need to do is help individuals get their electronics out of the car and into recycling bins. If you are available we would appreciate if you could signup to help.
We invite all OLOL Catholic School families to attend the 4:30PM Saturday afternoon Mass on May 21st. Following Mass we are hosting the “OLOL Bounce into Summer”. We want to celebrate our 2021-2022 students as well as introduce new 2022-2023 students to OLOL. We will have a bounce house and yard games. The Gourmet Corn Food Truck will be onsite for you to purchase dinner for your family.
Attend this event with a friend and you could go home with a new MAC-Pro laptop. All you need to do is bring a family along that might have an interest in attending OLOL in the fall. If you do that, then you will be entered into a drawing for the MAC computer.
We would also like to show-off our school to our new families. One of the best ways to do that is to have our students take the liturgical aspects of the Saturday afternoon Mass. Please sign-up your son or daughter HERE. We would also like a full school choir to sing. Use the signup above if your son or daughter will sing in the church choir on the 21st.

Parish Verification Form
Our GRACE parishes are integral to our mission of Catholic education in our homes, schools and community!
- Complete the Parish Verification Form with your parish and submit by June 1, 2022.

- Complete Step 1.
- Contact your Parish directly for them to complete Step 2.
- Submit the completed Form to GRACE Riverside Office as outlined in Step 3.

Families with children enrolled in grades K-8 (K-10 at SJPII) will have the standard rate of tuition adjusted to the active parishioner rate in their TADS Billing Account once the form is submitted.
OLOL Families:
As you know Fr. Jim wants to meet with each OLOL School family individually. I appreciate Fr. Jim committing his time to personally meet with the families that he serves.
We have set up meetings for each family in one of three waves. If you have not yet signed up for a time, please use the Sign-up Genius link below and select a time to meet with Fr. Jim.

To register for the program, please pickup a Kidz Zone Before & After School Program Handbook at the De Pere Community Center, 600 Grant St. Packets are also available via email request to [email protected].

Cavalier Card Winners
Each week our K-4 students earn "Cavalier cards" when they display one of 15 self-disciplined skills that we are learning throughout the school year. Each week all of the cards are entered in a drawing where students can learn various prizes.

Spring Concert - Musical
What you need to know ...
CHANGE OF LOCATION: School Musical will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes School Gymnasium
Attire:
Kindergarten-4th grade: wear nice concert attire - pants and a shirt for boys, pants and shirt, skirt and shirt, or dress for girls.
5th and 6th grade choir students: wear nice pants (navy, khaki, black, etc.) and a brightly colored shirt.
7th and 8th grade choir students: wear the first costume they need for the musical (and bring the rest of their costume pieces).
Middle school students who are ONLY in band : wear nice concert attire - pants and a shirt for boys, pants and shirt, skirt and shirt, or dress for girls.
Arrival - May 12:
- 7th and 8th grade choir students should arrive no later than 5:45PM.
- Band students should arrive at 6:00PM.
- All other students should arrive at 6:15PM.

OLOL Facebook Page (Parents)
A group of parents have created a Facebook group for OLOL parents. It is called OLOL Catholic School DePere - Parents.
It is a private Facebook group and is being administered by parents. You will need to be approved to join it, as an OLOL parent.
The hope is that parents can use this page as a way to ask some simple questions quickly, share pictures and things going on at school.
If you have questions or concerns about school, please contact OLOL staff and administration; not this Facebook page. A priority of Fr. Jim's Lourdes 200 is building a strong community and this Facebook page is geared toward that goal.
OLOL staff will continue to maintain the OLOL School Facebook page. We ask that you continue to follow and like the school Facebook page.

OLOL Parish Drive-Up Picnic

Unfortunately, we will not have picnic games (a fundraiser) as in the past. However, the picnic committee has allowed OLOL School to collect tip donations on the day of the event.
We are looking for OLOL students and their families to help with the tip jar for the picnic.

X-tra FUNDAY
is coming….
We Need You!
When: X-tra Fun Day (aka Field Day) is Tuesday May 31st from 12:00-2:30PM
What: We NEED parent volunteers to make it a success!
Who: 12 parent volunteers (8 team coach/leaders and 4 Game Leaders)
The students will be divided into 8 teams and they will rotate through 4 different games.

Thank you to all who participated in Children’s Book Week by dressing as a Book Character or taking part in the Book Swap. Thank you, parents, for your support!
The school year is winding down. Please return all books by Monday, May 16, so the book inventory can begin May 17. Please contact Mrs. Brys at [email protected] if your child checked out a book you can’t find and need to replace.

Summer Tutoring

Believe it or not the year is rapidly coming to an end! During the summer months I offer 1-on-1 tutoring services. I generally meet with students for one hour 2-3 times each week in their homes or childcare settings, however, I am flexible.
