Dear OLOL Families,
I hope that you and your family have all settled into the 2022-2023 school year. The start of a school year always has a transition period for students, staff, and families. I hope that we all have made it through the transition and start settling into a year-long focus on learning, both academically and spiritually.
Thank you to all that participated in the magazine sale that concluded last week. We appreciate your support of our school by participating. We are starting another fundraiser this week which is really easy for you to participate in. The first paper drive. Starts this week. There will be a dumpster placed in the north parking lot. To participate, you just bring any paper, cardboard, or old books and place it in the dumpster. Pretty easy. If you have access to a business that needs to get rid of boxes or paper, please direct them to OLOL.
This Saturday OLOL Parish is hosting the first Food Truck Rally on Saturday following Mass. Fr. Jim and I are focused on connecting a strong relationship between OLOL Catholic School and OLOL Parish. Please come out on Saturday for an evening of family fun that benefits the school and parish.
If you would like a retake of your son or daughter’s school picture, picture retake day is next Tuesday, September 20th. This is a free dress down/dress up day for all students.
Please pray for our middle school students as they embark on a leadership experience this Friday. Students will be going to The Courses. Students will spend a day outside working in teams to complete different challenges. Students go rain or shine so please make sure they are dressed for this activity.

Night of Keys - Our 'Key' Fundraiser!
The 2022 OLOL Night of Keys event is Saturday, November 5th at The Automobile Gallery. The event features dinner, silent and live auctions, bucket and 50/50 raffles, and our marquee event - the Key Raffle drawing - for a chance to win $10,000, $3,000 or $1,000! More information will be sent home with your youngest child.
The Night of Keys is the largest and most significant fundraiser for our school,
and we need your support to make it a success.
Your TSF volunteer hours can be
fulfilled by helping with the following:
● Assisting with Key Raffle ticket phone sales (we will provide you with a script and
call list).
● Selling Key Raffle tickets after designated weekend Masses.
● Contacting businesses for donations (we will provide the materials, script and an
established list of businesses).
● Volunteering the day of the event with set-up, clean-up, and/or filling volunteer
roles the night of the event.
● Other opportunities are available such as assisting with the silent auction
(packaging items before the event) and selling advertising space in the event
program.

Are You a Parent of Littles?
Children of God
The Children of God program for children ages 4 to 6 is held during the 8:15 Mass on
the first and third Sundays of each month. Shortly after Mass starts, children will be
dismissed to the Chapel to learn about the liturgy through story-telling, discussion, and
play. The lesson will be based on the readings of the week. Just before the
presentation of the gifts, children will be escorted back to participate in the rest of the
Mass with their families. Please consider having your child(ren) participate in this
educational and fun program!
Young Families Ministry
Whether you have infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or young ones, it can be difficult to
catch all of the important readings and messages that are delivered during mass. We
get it! OLOL’s Young Families Ministry is a group of families that casually meets on the
1 st and 3 rd Sundays of the month from 9:30-10:00 (so families can choose to attend mass
before or after we meet). We review and discuss the weekend’s scripture readings
and are also able to socialize and talk about parenting topics in our casual and fun
atmosphere.
What makes it even better is that child care is provided! Traci LaCrosse and her
wonderful group of teens are available each session to entertain and watch our littles.
This means adults have adult time to discuss and socialize while our kiddos have their
own social reward after church!
We look forward to welcoming familiar and new families to our gatherings which
start Sunday, September 18 th in the Parish Hall. We are also hosting a special meet and
greet to welcome new families on Sunday, October 2 nd which will be held outside on the
playground (weather permitting; inside if necessary). Join us!

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish
Custodian - Apply Today!
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish has an immediate opening
for a Custodian. Our Custodian works with the Maintenance
Director to maintain the school building and assists with
cleaning in the church facility. This is a full-time benefit
eligible position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday,
12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. during the school year and 7 a.m. to
3:30 p.m. in the summer months. No weekends or holidays
are required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and general sanitizing
of school classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, hallways,
and restrooms.
Taking out trash and recycling
Washing windows and glass doors
Assisting with cleaning in the church and Social Hall
Shampooing carpets and waxing floors annually
Performing occasional grounds care
Answering emergency maintenance calls from the
School, Faith Formation and Parish Offices.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn through on the job training.
Detail oriented.
Ability to take direction but work with minimal
supervision.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with
staff and volunteers.
Understanding of and compliance with OSHA Safety
and Health rules.
