PARADE


Dress up in costumes and come be part of the annual Anchorage Halloween Parade, led by a police cruiser! Parade starts at 5:00 p.m. sharp! Meet in front of the school (side parking lot, next to Bellewood Road) to line up.


DINNER


Delicious meals by Texas Roadhouse! Buy a buffet ticket and pick from many tasty options such as BBQ pulled pork on brioche buns (adults), hot dogs (kids), mashed potatoes with brown gravy, green beans, house salad, Jagger's Triple Chocolate brownie, and a drink (water or soda).


Dessert option: cotton candy with PRE-PURCHASED tickets ONLY!


The dinner buffet is $14 for adults, and $7 for children. Cotton candy is $4.

Dinner and dessert will be served outdoors

(the parking lot in front of the board office).


 To accommodate the supplier's request, meal and cotton candy tickets MUST BE be pre-ordered by Monday, October 9.


CARNIVAL


Enjoy the outdoor carnival games at our "spooky" festival in the front parking lot/front lawn area. Games will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.The carnival will feature around 10-11 games and each game station requires 2 or 3 tickets to play.

The games will include popular attractions like Go Fish!, Monster Pick, Candy Walk, and an exciting NEW addition: a child-friendly

Velcro Axe Throwing Booth!


**NEW THIS YEAR: The Halloween Photo Booth, hosted by the talented Tammy Young and her fantastic 8th grade helpers, will be so much FUN! It's a great deal - just 3 tickets get you a photo, an instant print to take home, and a creepy-cool digital copy delivered to your email after the event wraps up! Don't miss the chance to capture your "eerie" memories!


HAUNTED 'JAIL' HOUSE


The spooktacular Haunted House, located on the 4/5 hallway (entrance at the front of the school, by the ramp) features two options (scary or non-scary); just indicate your preference at the door. You may purchase a Haunted House wristband for unlimited visits ($10) or tour once (5 tickets required).

*BONUS ACTIVITY*


Stage One Louisville will host a Halloween Storytime

event in the Auditorium. Schedule is TBA (there will be 3 time slots to pick from).

The event is open to the community and is free to attend.


IMPORTANT NOTES:


  • Pre-purchased tickets can be picked up from the “pre-purchased tickets” table on the night of the event. 
  • Please bring cash and/or check to the event!
  • In case of inclement weather, the games and dinner will move to the gym.
  • Parking: Please park in the school's back parking lot and by the cafeteria. Additional parking spaces available at the Anchorage Presbyterian Church.



This is such a great fundraiser for the 8th graders and

we really hope to see you there (having a spooky good time)!


Veteran's Day Program

Submit Your Photos by October 27


Our Veterans Day Program is getting closer! As we are preparing for the program, I would love to invite all families a chance to participate. I am asking for all who are interested to send in a picture of Veterans they know to be featured during the program. There is no limit to the number of people you may submit. If you submitted a photo last year, your picture is already in the program. If you would like to have your previous photo removed, please let me know. 

 

If your family would like their veteran(s) featured during the program, you can email them directly to Lauren.Morris@anchorage.kyschools.us

 

Please include the veteran's name and branch along with their picture.

 

The Veterans Day Video will be finalized on October 27. Pictures sent in after that date will not be included. 


Our Veterans Day Program will be on Friday, November 10 at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium.

The Anchorage Independent School Council will gather for their montly meeting in Room 117 at 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Visitors are welcome to attend. The agenda is linked here.

The APTA monthly board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. in the APTA Room at the District Office. Visitors are welcome to attend

Anchorage Independent School Board Meeting

Monday, October 16, 6:00 p.m.

 

The Anchorage Independent School Board will meet in the APS library for their monthly meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023. Visitors are welcome to attend. If you would like to sign-up to speak at the meeting, you may do so in the library prior to the start of the meeting, or in advance by clicking the signup link.
