Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Reading I : 1 Samuel 26:2, 7-9, 12-13, 22-23

Though the Lord delivered you into my grasp, I would not harm you.

• Consumed with jealousy, Saul and three thousand men head into the desert searching for David.
• When given the opportunity, David does not harm Saul because he is God’s anointed.
• The Lord will reward the just and faithful.

Reading II : 1 Corinthians 15:45-49

Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one.

• As humans, we resemble Adam, who was made from the earth. We also inherit Adam's weaknesses.
• We are also created in God’s image.
• We will share in Jesus' Resurrection.

Gospel : Luke 6:27-38

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

• Jesus teaches the disciples to love their enemies.

A Message from Mr. Oberdorf

Carline reminder

When dropping off your children in the morning please pull up to the handicap sign located closer to door #13 and passed door #12 (The door students use to enter in the morning) . This will allow for more cars to begin the unloading process and make the line move more efficiently. Please pull up to the same spot for dismissal.

Remember to enter on Cold Spring Road for morning drop off and for pick up at the end of the day.  

Chess Club

There will be no chess club Monday, March 3rd due to a conflict with the Run the Halls event scheduled at the same time. 

Fish Fry Help Needed Friday, March 7, 2025 4:00-7:00

Volunteers are needed for our first fish fry of Lent. Help is needed on March 6th for setup.  We also need help during the fish fry and for cleanup on March 7th. It is a great opportunity for students in grades 5-8 to earn service hours.  Please sign up using the link below.

Registration for track and futsal is now open. Please register today. Futsal (indoor soccer) is co-ed and available for students in grades K4-6. Track is available for boys and girls in grades 5-8. Track season begins in April. Registration closes March 6, 2025.

Register for the 2025-26 School Year

Registration for the 2025-26 school year is happening now. Registration paperwork has been sent home in prior Thursday folders. If you have any questions, please contact the school office. Thank you for choosing SJE for your family.

MPCP and WPCP CHOICE Registration Opened

Parents may apply for the Wisconsin Choice (WPCP) between February 3 and April 17th.

This period for the Milwaukee Choice (MPCP) will run till February 20th. The next open period for the Milwaukee Choice (MPCP) will be from March 1 - March 20.

Families must reapply to the program each year. Please log into the Choice website and complete this process as soon as possible.

The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has posted a number of resources for Choice schools and parents for the upcoming 2025-26 student application process.

St. Gerard Fund is currently on the website, and the application is due no later than

April 7, 2025.

St. John the Evangelist/Fr. Grom Scholarship Fund will be on the website on February 28^th.

Register for Safe Environment

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has a partnership with Catholic Mutual Group to provide Safe Environment Education. All participants must register online. If interested, please register on the archdiocesan website https://www.archmil.org/home.

You must complete this class in order to volunteer in the school or accompany students on any field trips.

Scrip is available at all weekend Masses or during regular business hours at the parish office. You may also use the RaiseRight App (below).
