Keep us this day from bitter strife

Let every heart and every tongue

Rejoice for what Your hand has done

Help us to hear and heed your call

And bring us peace here at St. Paul

Welcome to the St. Paul Wildcat Family!

We see both familiar and new faces in the building these days! Along with welcoming back those who are familiar, we would like to introduce a few of our new students & staff:

  • Tyler Burk - Grade 7
  • Jane Bachman - Grade 3
  • All our new Kindergartners, Young 5's, & Preschoolers
  • Miss Hannah Lewicki - Y5/K Teacher

Student Attendance Communication

If your student is sick or will be coming to school after the 8:00 a.m. bell, please notify the office and the classroom teacher via FastDirect.

One message to both parties is greatly appreciated. A quick FastDirect email message informing the office and classroom teacher of the who, what, when, and why will help communication flow smoothly and keep a helpful record.

If you are having trouble accessing your FastDirect account, please contact the office for assistance (office@stpaulbaycity.org) or 989-684-4450.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Grade School

Starting on Tuesday, September 2, students are expected to enter the school building independently. Good-byes can happen either in the parking lot (if parking a car when a student needs help with buckles, strap, and doors) or in the car-line (if students can exit a car/truck without assistance). If a special need arises (birthday treats, school projects, etc.) parents are invited to help assist in carrying in items for ease of the student.

At the end of the day, teachers will accompany their students to the main parking lot and will stand in designated areas with clear signage.

Parents/grandparents/guardians should plan to park their vehicles and walk toward their students. All adults are encouraged to step inside the cones towards the school, this will allow moving cars to safely pass through the parking lot.

Teachers will release students to parents once parents have reached the group (no students running into the parking lot to meet parents standing by cars).

As we navigate the beginning of the school year, please be patient with your child and your child’s teacher.

Church Attendance

Reminder: The teachers are taking church attendance. In person attendance at a church service is what will be accepted.

Wednesday Morning Chapel

The students and teachers of St. Paul School enjoy Chapel every Wednesday morning from 8:10 a.m. until roughly 8:45 a.m. in the gym. Parents are invited to join us for Chapel. All parents wishing to attend Wednesday Morning Chapel should first stop in the School Office to sign the Visitor Log before going to the gym.

School Apparel

Dear St. Paul Church & School Families,

The Church and School have a new apparel store!

The stores will be open now until September 7. Orders will then be fulfilled and delivered to the school by the last week of September. The office will communicate how the orders will be available for pickup once fulfilled.

This will be the first of three campaigns throughout the 2025-2026 school year. If you have any questions, please contact office@stpaulbaycity.org.

Thank you for supporting St. Paul Lutheran Church & School.

PTO - Thank You

Thank you PTO for the beautiful “Welcome Back Wildcat” sign and coupons for Kona Ice on the first day of school. The colorful sign made a great backdrop for back to school photos. The Kona Ice was a wonderful treat for our first day of school. Thank you for loving the St. Paul School Community–you are appreciated!

Wildcat Club First Quarter

The Wildcat Club is an organization for St. Paul students in grades 4-8.

During the First Quarter, the Wildcat Club will experience a Service Project. St. Paul was gifted a Thrivent Action Grant to prep the upstairs boys bathroom for a bathroom stall paint refresh.

The paint refresh is tentatively planned for October 1-4, 2025, while school is out and the teachers are attending a conference. Students will be using gloves, magic erasers, washcloths and water to peel existing blue paint and remove white primer. This club will require students who are good listeners, hard workers, and possess the desire to help our school.

Any student in 4-8th grade can participate as long as they have a signed permission slip. A paper copy went home with your students today. Students need not attend every single meeting. Principal Matyas will be the adult in charge.

13th Annual JME Memorial Run/Walk

Please join us for a morning of exercise, fellowship and remembrance - Our Annual JME Memorial Run/Walk will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Registration deadline has passed, but you are more than welcome to come on out and join in the fun. Thank you for your continued support of this event. We hope to see you on September 6!
