Thanks from PTO!
A great big thank you to all of our church and school families who attended and supported the PTO Advent Dinner. Thank you also to those who made desserts to pass, and to Sheri Lusher and Lisa Stanley for helping at the dinner.

Thank You for Lunch!
The Olive Garden of Midland generously donated spaghetti, breadsticks, and salad for the school’s lunch today. Olive Garden (Mrs. Lara Polzin’s brother’s restaurant) prepared, cooked, and donated this fantastic meal. What a blessing!

With winter coming, I wish to remind us all to drive cautiously in the parking lot. Please check your mirrors when backing out. The vehicles we drive are important to us, but I believe our children are more so! - Mr. Lustila

Need Gift Cards for Christmas?
With over 50 different cards to choose from, the scrip box is bound to have that perfect gift card for the people on your list. Please see the person selling at the back of church or stop in the office, or take an order form home. We do have a lot on hand. If not, it only takes a few business days to get them in. To ensure we have what you need, please place all orders by Dec. 14th. Any questions, please contact Megan Lowe 989-684-4450 or Thank you for supporting our school.

Did You Get the Practice Call?
Mr. Lustila sent out a practice emergency phone call before Thanksgiving. If you did not receive it, please let the office know. We utilize a notification system called School Messenger to call parents and notify them of school closings, emergencies, or other special events. The system will make a call out to the phone numbers that were listed as “cellular” or “home” on the Enrollment Application. If you would like to verify or change that number please contact the office. When the call comes in, the caller id shows the number 989-684-4450.

Hot Lunch Charge Policy
Please note the Hot Lunch Charge Policy (see below). Since we left the government hot lunch program on January 1, 2019, we need to follow this policy to ensure a successful program. Thank you for your cooperation.
Charging Policy of School Meals and/or Milk and Ala Carte
The purpose of this policy is to insure proper management of the Hot Lunch Finances and provide oversight and accountability for the collection of outstanding student meal balances.
Our charging policy at St Paul Lutheran School is a five meal maximum per student, not to exceed $15.00. Parents will be notified through FASTDIRECT when their child owes money for school meals. All outstanding balances must be paid within 30 days.
Parents may track their expenses and deposits for the School Meal program on the St. Paul School Information website: If help is needed to access the information please contact the St. Paul School Office.
Each parent can and should pay for meals in advance and they should keep track of their balances to minimize the possibility that their child may be without meal money on any given day. If a student is without meal money on a consistent basis, the cafeteria manager/principal will investigate the situation more closely, and send home a free/reduced meal application. If there is a situation the school needs to be aware of in regards to an outstanding hot lunch balance, please let the principal know.
This policy’s provisions pertain to regular school lunch meals only, NO ALA CARTE ITEMS CAN BE CHARGED (this includes extra milks). Free and Reduced students MUST have a credit available to purchase ala carte or extra milk.
