Second Quarter Report Cards

Due to extreme cold, we have pushed back the finalization of 2nd Quarter grades. Report cards will be sent home Wednesday, January 29.

National Lutheran Schools Week

Here are dress up days, events, and donation items. We are collecting donations for Life Clinic. Send in items throughout the week and place them in the boxes in the hallway.


Sunday, January 26

Grades Y5/K-8 students will sing in both church services. 

Students will sing towards the end of the 8:00 a.m. service (offering) and the beginning of the 10:30 a.m. service (before the readings). Students will sit with their parents and come up front to sing.

Please join us for Sunday School and Bible class in-between.

 

Monday, January 27

Career Day - dress up as what you’d like to be when you grow up

Donation Items: Desitin, A&D ointment, diapers size 4, 5, 6, pullups size 2T and 3T

 

Tuesday, January 28

Class Color Day - Wear your assigned class color:

  • 8th Grade- Green
  • 7th Grade- Black
  • 6th Grade- Red
  • 5th Grade- White
  • 4th Grade- Yellow
  • 3rd Grade- Blue
  • 2nd Grade- Pink

  • AriSon concert at VLHS at 12:00 p.m.

Team Day - support your favorite sports team  

Special Events:

  • Poms perform during chapel 8:10 a.m. (parents welcome)
  • Chapel Families Activity
  • The Science of Bubbles assembly at 1:30 p.m.

Donation Items: long sleeve onesies, onesies 0M-6M, boys and girls pjs size 12M-3T

 

Thursday, January 30

Comfy-Cozy Day - Wear your favorite footie-pajamas, slippers, sweatpants, or anything you find comfy! (Appropriate clothing, please)

Special Event:

  • Pancake breakfast in the school gym with your family from 7:15-8:00 a.m.
  • Jazz band will play during breakfast from 7:30-7:50 a.m.

Donation Items: socks, undies size 2T and 3T


Friday, January 31

Funky Friday - Dress your craziest - all the patterns at once! Make your hair crazy too!

Special Event:

  • 7/8th Grade vs. Staff Volleyball game in Gym at 2:00 p.m. (parents welcome)

Donation Items: teethers, sippy cups, receiving blankets

Honoring 8th Grade Students & Parents

On Wednesday, February 5, the 8th grade students and parents will be honored in-between the basketball games. Please be at the school by 5:00 p.m.

Inclement Weather School Closing

With cold weather, we inevitably know that there may be a Snow Day or two in our future. How will you know if school is closed for a Snow Day? Check these three places:

1.     St. Paul Lutheran School will be closed when Bay City Public School closes, watch for it on WNEM's School Closings. 

2.     The office will also send out a FastDirect email.

3.     School Closings will be posted on our St. Paul Lutheran School Facebook Page.

Week 6 (July 27-August 2 ) Camp Lu Lay Lea

Over the past couple years, students of St. Paul have enjoyed a week of summer camp at Camp Lu Lay Lea. This summer a number of St. Paul families are hoping to send their campers during Week 6 (July 27-August 2). If you have a student between the ages of 8-14 who might be interested in a Lutheran summer camp experience please consider checking out Camp Lu Lay Lea. https://www.camplulaylea.org

Wellspring Counselor Report

The 8 schools participating in the Wellspring School-Based Counselor were able to meet via Zoom. Please take the time to review the St. Paul School-Based Counselor Report.


Use this School Therapist Referral Form if you are interested in having your student see the counselor. Elizabeth is in our building every other Monday. She will be at St. Paul on Monday, January 13 and 27, and Monday, February 10 and 24.

Friday, February 21, 2025

The teachers have an opportunity to receive ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experience) training by a certified teacher during the afternoon of Friday, February 21, for Professional Development. This opportunity is linked to our partnership with our School Counselor via Wellspring. 


Extended Care will be offered on Friday, February 21, starting at 11:30 am. Please mark your calendars and note this schedule change. A reminder will be sent again as the date approaches.

Amazing Grace Donations

The St. Paul 1st and 2nd grade class is adopting Amazing Grace Animal Rescue for Valentine's Day. The class is collecting items from the wish list to benefit the cats and dogs at the rescue. If you'd like to show some love to this great organization, contact Mrs. Dent or simply bring items to her classroom. Donations will be collected until Monday, February 10. Thank you!
