Water Bottle Dispenser Activated
Our new dispenser is working and fills the different kinds of containers in seconds! The staff and students would like to thank all the various groups who pooled the money to purchase this attachment which saves on plastic and the purchase of water. We would also wish to thank the various members of the Board of Trustees who dealt with plumbing and electrical issues during installation. St. Paul Lutheran School is so blessed to have helping hands!
Book Fair - Thank You!
In true Wildcat style, St. Paul families generously supported the Book Fair from afar. We smashed last year’s record and earned more than $1,350 in FREE books for our classrooms and library! Also, shoppers donated an additional 50 books to St. Paul from our “Classroom Wish Lists.” Thrivent made it possible to give 27 students books and prizes through our classroom drawings.

A special thank you to Sheri Lusher, Lisa Scholtz, Megan Kusterer, and Rachel Appold who gave of their time and talents. You helped to make the Book Fair a huge success. I am so thankful for you. - Kristen Glasser
First Quarter Chapel Offerings
The student body of St. Paul raised $161.00 in chapel offerings for the first quarter of the 2020-2021 school year! The offerings this year are going towards the Lutheran Heritage Foundation which is the Michigan District’s Hearts for Jesus mission initiative. We will support this important mission project the entire year through our offerings. Thank you for sending in offerings with your children as they learn to give for the benefit of other children learning about Jesus!
Today is the Deadline to Order Your Wreath!
Scrip Gift Cards
When you purchase gift cards through our Scrip program, St. Paul will split the profits with any student of your choice at St. Paul or Valley Lutheran High School to be used for balances on tuition, extended care, or lunch. 1st quarter Scrip credits were applied to participating families' accounts this week. Please contact the school office to see what cards are in stock and to arrange payment (cash or check) and pick up.
St. Paul Hot Lunch
Thank you to all who have continued to support the Hot Lunch program. It certainly has been a help as we face an interesting year!! All meals are served in takeout containers this year which has been an unexpected added expense to the program. Due to COVID we no longer are doing the Adopt a Salad Bar program but we do have needs for gift cards or cash donations to help offset the cost of these additional items that we need to purchase. Walmart, Sam’s, Meijer gift cards or cash donations would be greatly appreciated. They can be labeled Hot Lunch and put in the offering basket at church, sent to school with a student or put in the specially marked box (formerly construction worker snack collection) in the back of church. If you have any questions please call Heidi at school 684-4450. Thank you again for your ongoing support of this ministry!!.
Photo Retake Day - December 9
If you missed picture day or if you need retakes, please mark Wednesday, December 9 on your calendar. Lifetouch will be here that day from 8-10 a.m.
Outside Recess Volunteers Needed
We are looking for helpers Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m.- 1:05 p.m. (4 recess periods since classrooms are separated) for outside recess. Volunteers will be particularly helpful once cold weather arrives and children need assistance from classroom teachers as they dress in their winter gear. As a recess helper, your outdoor supervision will allow children to go outside once they're dressed. We're hoping to set a recess volunteer schedule now so that everyone gets familiar with this year's routines before the cold weather comes. As in the past, a $5/day credit can be applied to your family's account. Please let Mr. Lustila or the school office know if you are willing to help. Thank you!
Bring in $1.00 or $5.00 or more!
Mrs. Luella Britton and Mrs. Shasta Duffey will have Saving Stamps from Church Extension Fund (CEF) available to purchase (from $1 to $5 to $10) every Monday morning at 7:30-7:55 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran School. What a great way to teach kids how to save money!
