Do you need Extended Care on Friday, October 30 after the early dismissal at 11:30 a.m.? If so, you need to sign up using the online form or by contacting the office or Mrs. Kramer. Deadline will be Friday, October 23. We will need at least 7 children signed up in order to provide care. Please plan to bring a sack lunch from home.

We are looking for helpers Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m.- 1:05 p.m. (4 recess periods since classrooms are separated) for outside recess. Volunteers will be particularly helpful once cold weather arrives and children need assistance from classroom teachers as they dress in their winter gear. As a recess helper, your outdoor supervision will allow children to go outside once they're dressed. We're hoping to set a recess volunteer schedule now so that everyone gets familiar with this year's routines before the cold weather comes. As in the past, a $5/day credit can be applied to your family's account. Please let Mr. Lustila or the school office know if you are willing to help. Thank you!

Did you know St. Paul sells gift cards to many places in the Tri City area like Meijer, Walmart (which can be used at Sam's), Dick's, Cabela's, Speedway, Kohl's, JCPenney, Joann Fabric, Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, Red Lobster, Chipotle (yes, buy some for the upcoming fundraiser!) and so much more?!? These gift cards DO NOT cost you any extra money. Through Great Lakes Scrip, St. Paul purchases retailer gift cards at a discount (usually 3% - 13%). When you purchase a full value card, St. Paul will split the profits with any student of your choice at St. Paul or Valley Lutheran High School, to be used for balances on tuition, extended care, or lunch. Plus, it is an easy way to give money back to St. Paul without costing you anything. Please contact the school office to see what cards are in stock and to arrange payment (cash or check) and pick up.

Since there's no VIP Day on Friday, October 30, children are welcome to dress up in costumes for the Halloween parties in classrooms that morning. We request for all costumes to be tasteful (nothing scary or gory). Since each teacher manages costumes differently (wear to school, bring to school, etc.), watch for those details from your child’s teacher.

It's Book Fair time! This year, only St. Paul staff and students will shop inside the school. But, there are still ways for you to connect.

 

Order online at mylifetouch.com (Picture Day ID: EVTWSF8CJ). Lifetouch will allow online orders to go through for 48 hours after picture day. Then they shut down the site to process all the packages. All photo packages include a Shutterfly digital image, which you can use to buy Shutterfly products and earn money for St. Paul (see announcement below!).

Since our school photos will be taken by Lifetouch, you can order personalized Shutterfly gifts using your child's school photo. What a great way to earn money for the school!

Saving Stamps from Church Extension Fund (CEF) are available to purchase (from $1 to $5 to $10) every Monday morning at 7:30 -7:55 a.m. at St Paul Lutheran School!
