This Week's Spotlight

Tradition with Vision for Preschool through 8th grade

Celebrating our Faith

As a Catholic school, we are blessed to honor our faith daily. We pray 3 times during the school day. We rejoice during weekly Mass as a school family and end our week with Benediction and Liturgical Music. Our 1st graders are currently preparing for their All Saints Day presentation. And during Lent, our 8th graders will lead the school in praying the Living Stations of the Cross.

October is month of the Rosary. We are fortunate that our Faith Matters committee will once again be leading our students in praying the rosary at recess.

Students in grades Preschool 3 to 1st grade received a copy of a trifold showcasing the ways we celebrate our Catholic faith at school. Copies of this trifold can be found at church in the narthex or you can look at a snapshot of it by clicking on the link below.

In addition, if you are interested in ways to nourish your Catholic Faith - we have opportunities for Adult Faith Formation through the parish. Visit https://www.sjalisle.org/adult-faith-formation for more info.

**Reminder: ALL volunteers, regardless of capacity or time spent at school, must be Virtus compliant. **

For the past few years, SJA has been working on our 5-year school improvement plan entitled Tradition with Vision. The plan is comprised of 5 pillars (Mission and Catholic Identity Foundations in Faith, Academic Excellence, Operational Vitality Facilities and Infrastructure, Marketing, Enrollment and Legacy Building, and Extracurricular Enhancements). Each pillar has goals that were developed jointly by parents and the school.

We are currently seeking parents who are interested in helping us reach the established goals for each pillar. If you are interested or just want to learn more information, please complete the following interest form.

Family Fun Fair

Don’t forget to buy your tickers to this year’s Family Fun Fair, hosted by the 8th grade class! Deadline is TOMORROW 10/3!

There will be something for everyone: games, prizes, food, a bounce house and the ever-popular cake walk and raffle. This year’s raffle will have more baskets than ever. From Gaming, to Legos, to Frozen, to Taco Tuesday, and even a mystery prize. More baskets mean more winners.
