This Week's Spotlight

Tradition with Vision for Preschool through 8th grade

Cross Country and Volleyball

This past Saturday, the SJA boys state runners brought their A game to the State Meet in Normal, Illinois. This was the culmination of a long and rewarding season. Out of 116 Class 1A teams across the State, SJA was one of only 25 still competing. There was a chill in the air as the team began to gather early Saturday morning. As the start time approached, the temperature began to rise, along with the anticipation of runners, coaches, parents and fans. By the time the race started, the sky was clear, and the weather was perfect!

Our team consisted of Cass, Damian, Josh, Carter, Matthew, Cooper, Ryan, Perry, Jude, Brandon, with the first 7 being our runners on Saturday. They gave everything they had left and poured it into the race! Coming up on the first mile the boys were running well and they kept up their excellent pace all the way through the finish line! Several PRs were set as the boys ran their best race of the season. The team finished 12th, lead by Damian’s 7th place individual finish! Not a team to rest on its achievements, it is likely you will see these runners getting their miles in around Lisle even after the season is over. Congratulations to the entire team for a great race and a terrific season. And a huge thank you to Mr. Marks and all our coaches for a job well done!!!

Congratulations to all our Volleyball Teams on an amazing season. Our 8th Grade Boys Team won their quarterfinal game against undefeated Holy Family! They advanced to the semifinals on Saturday at Joliet Catholic Academy at 11:30am.

If they win that game, they will play in the Championship Game on Sunday at St. Francis High School. We will update social media if they advance. The team would love some fans in the stands. Put on your spirt wear and cheer our Chargers to victory!

Good Luck!

Congratulations to Dean Giudice and Riley Nicholas on their recognition. Both these athletes were named to the Tri County Catholic Conference All Conference Team.

Thank you to all our Coaches, Parents, Volunteers and CHARGER FANS for their support of our Fall Teams.
