Parish Golf Outing

Hosted by the Men’s Club to Benefit OLSOS Athletics, join us at this years annual Golf Outing. Taking place at Gowanie Golf Club and sponsored by RIM Custom Racks and the Schorer family. Transportation will be provided from the parking lot to the Outing. Check the flyer for more information on how to register.

Mum Sale: Going on NOW

This week, your child was sent home with an order form for our Mum Sale. Get your familiy and friends to support Our Lady Star of the Sea by ordering. Forms are due by Monday, September 25. Pick-up under the church canopy Wednesday, October 11th between 3:00 - 5:00 PM.

Winter Sports

Friendly reminder Basketball and Cheerleading registrations are open, please register to ensure that Star registers the correct number of teams so everyone has the opportunity to play. Men’s Club Fee: $25 per family.

• Winter Sport Registration Period: May 6 - September 30, 2023 (Sports offered: Boys/ Girls Basketball) Season runs from 11/01/23-03/15/24
• Grades 3-8 fee $200.00/ player. Depending on # of players registered 3rd/4th graders may play in an instructional basketball program vs CYO.
• Grades K-2 intramural program $125.00/ player.
• Grades 2-8 "Club" Cheerleading $125.00/ player.

Anti-Bullying Event

Thursday, September 21

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering an environment of respect and empathy, we are bringing in author and veteran anti-bullying expert Jodee Blanco to implement a comprehensive program for students and parents. It includes live age-appropriate

student presentations with an SEL-based follow-up curriculum, professional development and training for staff, and a parent/family seminar. Your student will take part in a morning presentation and we welcome parents to attend the evening workshop.

Jodee will be traveling to schools in the Metro Detroit area throughout September.
