PTO Meeting - Tuesday, September 10

Parents, please join us! The PTO will meet on September 10th in the school cafeteria. Pizza and childcare are provided.

If you have not attended a PTO Meeting in the past, please consider joining us. Attending meetings is an opportunity for you to have input on what activities the PTO sponsors, vote on where we spend the funds we raise and a good opportunity to get involved with the school.

During the meeting, all teachers share an update of what is going on in their classrooms and an update on what the students are working on, the PTO provides a Treasurers Update to share the income and expenses we’ve incurred since the last meeting, we discuss old and new business, like possible fundraisers, possible fellowship events, potential usage of PTO funds, and we vote on where the PTO funds are being allocated. In addition, at some meetings we also have guest speakers join us to share relevant information as parents (financial education, Kids Savings, etc.).

To increase participation, we will be raffling off a prize at each meeting. Each parent who joins will be entered in the drawing and we will draw a winner at the end of each meeting.

We hope to see you on Tuesday night!

 Thank you,

 St Paul PTO Board Members

VLHS Homecoming

Friday, September 20, 4:45 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Homecoming Parade - 5:45 p.m.

All St. Paul Church & School families are welcome!

We will be providing grilled hot dogs and chips.

Please bring a dish to pass, your own non-alcoholic beverage, lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

Look for our school tent with the St. Paul signs around it. It will be set up between the driveways at Valley.

Staying for the game? Seating in the stands could be tight so you’re welcome to bring your lawn chairs into the game and find a seat around the track toward the end zones with other VL fans!

Does your child have an EVENT PASS from a VL camp this summer? Use it for complimentary family admittance to the game!

We are looking forward to a fun filled evening with our St. Paul Lutheran School Family!

Please remember VLHS is a no alcohol/drug zone.

In celebration of Homecoming, St. Paul students and staff are invited to wear Valley Lutheran High School spirit wear to school on Friday, September 20.

PTO - Thank You

Thank you PTO for the beautiful “Welcome Back Wildcat” sign and coupons for Kona Ice on the first day of school. The colorful sign made a great backdrop for back to school photos. The Kona Ice was a wonderful treat for such a hot August day. Thank you for loving the St. Paul School Community–you are appreciated!

Wildcat Club First Quarter

The Wildcat Club is an organization for St. Paul students in grades 4-8.

During the First Quarter, the Wildcat Club will experience LEGO Building. Building with LEGO bricks improves cognitive development, fine motor skills, creativity, and problem solving. Students can bring their own LEGO bricks or can use the bricks provided by St. Paul.

Any student in 4-8th grade can participate as long as they have a signed permission slip. A paper copy went home with your students today. Students need not attend every single meeting. Principal Matyas will be the adult in charge.
