News from Mrs. Sims

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education. ~
Martin Luther King, Jr.
We honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on Monday, Jan.18th because of his importance to our nation's history. Reverend King believed in civil rights for all Americans, and he used Gospel values to teach about social justice. He taught that education was not limited to academics alone but must also include character development. I am proud to say that St. Margaret Mary School does an excellent job of teaching academics through, and with, Christ's teachings. Thank you for helping us to instill the morals and values that make great citizens.
Please don't forget to turn in your stewardship intention cards to the parish. We use this very important information as we budget for the next school year. Also, registration for the 2016-17 school year is in full swing. We look forward to planning for your children and the incoming Kindergarten and Jr K students. Please call the school office if you have any questions.
May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims

Adoration Opportunities

What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic adoration is the act of adoring, honoring and worshiping God as He is present in the consecrated Eucharist.
What do I do at Adoration?
Adoration is a time to be silent in the presence of God. There are many ways to spend your time:  pray, say a Rosary, meditate on scripture, journal, read about a saint, pray the psalms, or just sit quietly!  This is a wonderful way to draw closer to God.
